Birth defects like the Mermaid syndrome, a deformity where the legs are fused together, Craniopagus, a phenomenon where twins are joined at the head, and Dicephalic parapagus, a condition of having two heads, occur rarely but prove challenging to the medical world. Recently in Brazil, a baby was born with two heads; Jesus and Emanuel are in stable condition, but doctors are hesitant to perform surgery is such delicate conditions. More images on these rare congenital disorders.

Samsung galaxy note at a glance

Big - that's how you would summarise Samsung Galaxy Note, the latest smartphone that claims to be a tablet too. The question that needs to be answered is why there is a buzz about the Samsung Galaxy Note, when the Dell Streak 5 too tried the same thing and pretty much collapsed in the process.
For starters, Samsung has taken the Streak 5 and changed every detail possible. The Note has a newer version of Android, a dual-core processor, a higher clockspeed on each core, a larger screen with higher resolution and better screen technology (TFT of Streak vs Super AMOLED HD on Note). Overall, Samsung Note's 5.3-inch crisp display, a diminutive weight of just 178 g and 9.7 mm thickness come together really well.

"Bhagvad Gita -- the great source of wisdom for the people of India and the world"-Russian envoy

"Russia, as it is known to anyone, is a secular and democratic country where all religions enjoy equal respect," the Russian envoy said in a statement after controversy over a move to ban the Gita in Russia rocked the Indian parliament.

"Even more applicable it is to the holy scriptures of various faiths -- whether it is the Bible, the Holy Quran, Torah, Avesta and, of course, Bhagvad Gita -- the great source of wisdom for the people of India and the world," he said.

"I consider it categorically inadmissible when any holy scripture is taken to the courts. For all believers these texts are sacred," the envoy stressed.

"It is not normal either when religious books are sent for examination to ignorant people. Their academic scrutiny should be done at scientists' fora, congresses, seminars, etc but not in courts," he said.

He said it was "strange" that such events are unfolding "in the beautiful university city in Siberia, Tomsk, which is famous for its secularism and religious tolerance".

"Well, it seems that even the lovely city of Tomsk has its own neighbourhood madmen. It is sad indeed," he said in a strong condemnation of some fringe elements seeking a ban on the Gita which is being heard by a court in Tomsk.

The case, which has been going on since June, seeks a ban on a Russian translation of the "Bhagavad Gita As It Is" written by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

In a last ditch effort to save the Bhagvad Gita from a ban, Hindus in Russia appealed to the Siberian court to seek the views of the nation's human rights panel on the religious text and preachings, before pronouncing its verdict.

Following their last-minute plea, represented by their advocate Mikhail Fralov, the court in Tomsk city in Siberia has given the human rights panel 24 hours to come with its deposition, following which it will deliver the verdict on Tuesday.

Indians in Moscow, numbering about 15,000, and followers of the Iskcon religious movement in Russia have appealed to the Indian government to intervene diplomatically to resolve the issue.

Bagittoday-India today group is totally a scam-2

Dear readers,
This post is to save you from fake online shops. I'll give all the right details to all of you. They have cheated me but I do not want that my brothers/sisters get cheated by these companies. So beware. Listen my story then you decide how to tackle such types of cheaters.
Story begins when I had craze to buy a camera. I had no intention to spent more for this camera. I saw BAG IT TODAY, the India Today group. Their name should not be India Today, the right name for such companies should be SCAM TODAY and getcheatedtoday.
You can see their news channels and magazines, how they show the reality of others. But they also should show their another side of face.
I saw a camera (Brand-GE) priced Rs. 3598/-. But the MRP of camera was Rs. 6999/- . I was attracted towards this. In this greed, I even do not think that how they can give the camera at 50% discount. Later I discovered that that was duplicate GE cameras MADE IN CHINA. I'll describe these all things in detail in coming posts. Plz. keep reading...

Porn star Sunny Leone should be banned in India

By inviting porn star to Indian TV programs shows that the organiser BigBoss has no sympathy for Indian culture. What does this channel show want from such show. Popularity and money ? Have such organisers even thought when their girl child will ask them question "Who is sunny leone ? I also want to be like her."  As a noble citizen will you allow such programs ? How a family can watch such serials on TV together ? SO if there is humanity in you then file complain against such organisers. Such shows should be totally banned in India.

How can we control diabetes by Ayurveda ?

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder in which the human body does not produce insulin or the cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced. This hormone is required to convert sugar, starch and other food into energy.
The desired blood sugar range should be between 70mg/dl-110mg/dl at fasting stage. If the blood sugar is more than 110mg/dl, then it’s called Hyperglycemia or Diabetes.
In Ayurveda, diabetes is known as ‘Prameha’ which means profuse urination. According to the doshas, these are classified as
Vataj prameha
Pittaj prameha
Kaphaj prameha
It is also believed that increased kapha blocks the channel of the urinary system and pancreas and is responsible for producing low tissue fire or mandh-dhatuagni which results in malformation of all the tissue in body.

The modern aspect of diabetic management is healthy diet, yoga, pranayam and ayurvedic medicine.
Common symptoms
Polyuria (frequent urination)
Polydipsia (increased thirst)
Polyphagia (increased hunger)
Classification
Type 1 or IDDM (Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus) – The body produces little or no insulin so the person requires injecting insulin.
Type 2 or NIDDM (Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus) – The body produces insulin but cells fail to use it.
Causes
Type-1 diabetes is generally found in children between the ages of 9-15 yrs. The exact cause of Type-1 are unknown but it’s an auto immune disorder that can be passed down through families.
Type-2 diabetes mainly involves sedentary lifestyle, intake of more sugar, lack of exercise, obesity, certain medicine, pregnancy, increased age, stress.
Treatment
As we always say, “Prevention is better than cure”. We can control high blood sugar by:
1) Change in lifestyle
2) Daily morning walk, exercise, yoga, pranayam
3) Reduction of carbohydrate in diet
4) Maintaining the healthy weight
High blood sugar needs regular medical care and blood sugar monitoring as it may lead to coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, retinopathy (disease of eye), nephropathy (disease of kidney), neuropathy (disease of nerves).
Home remedies
1) Soak about 90-100g fenugreek seeds in 250ml of water & leave it overnight. In the morning mash them and filter it to drink water.
2) Chew 3-4 leaves of jamun every morning and evening
3) Mix equal amount of turmeric and dried amla powder; drink 1 tsp on an empty stomach.
4) Practice yogasanas like Mundukasan, Surya Namaskar, Pavanmuktasan, Utthanpadasan, ArdhMatsyendrasana, Bhujangasan, Paschimothanasana, Shalbhasan.

Anna Hazare holds fast; parties gathered only non-upa

Leaders of non-UPA parties on Sunday shared the dais with Anna Hazare during his one-day fast here backing him on a strong Lokpal but made it clear to him that it will be Parliament that will take the final call and civil society cannot expect all its demands to be accepted.

Congress and other UPA constituents kept away but prominent leaders, including those from the Left and the Right, came together on a visibly anti-Congress platform at Hazare's symbolic fast at Jantar Mantar, in protest against the Parliamentary Standing Committee report on Lokpal Bill.

'Hey guys, most excited to share with y'all that we have finally chosen a name for our baby boy...Azad. Azad Rao Khan. I left the final choice to Kiran, and she has named him after my great grand uncle Maulana Azad, the great freedom fighter, whom the family is most proud of,' Aamir disclosed on social networking site Facebook.

88 killed in Kolkata hospital fire

Kolkata:
The worst fire tragedy in any hospital in India, 88 patients and staffers were killed in Kolkata's well-known AMRI hospital early on Friday, so many helpless patients were trapped while doctors and others ran for safety.
The fire broke out at 3.30 a.m. The nurses, doctors and other people in the building succeeded to escape, a large number of ill patients suffocated to death in their hospital beds.

The tragedy unfolded over many hours. Some were suffocated, some were too infirm to escape the toxic fumes. The lucky few were brought down the side of the four-storey glass facade building using ropes and ladders, even as thousands watched in horror.

The fire brigade, many alleged, came over two hours late. The fire brigade blamed it on narrow roads leading to the hospital.

By late evening the death toll was raised to 88. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ordered the arrest of six hospital directors.

'The hospital staff initially prevented the fire fighters from entering the building,' said Banerjee, a shocking admission that only added fuel to the helpless anger of the families of the dead and injured.

The injured were rushed to several hospitals in the city. The bodies, most of them bearing signs of suffocation, piled up at the SSKM Hospital.

I never expected to score a double hundred -Viru

Virender Sehwag, the Stand-in captain as MS Dhoni has given rest for this series with West Indies, today created history by scoring 219 the highest ODI score ever scored. He added that he never expected to score a double hundred. God gave him courage and he did. He added

"I never expected to score a double hundred. While opening the innings, I told Gautam Gambhir that if we can show some patience on this track, we will be in for a big one as the wicket is a good one. The outfield is fantastic and the distance of the boundary is only 50 yards," Sehwag said after his milestone knock of 219 off just 149 balls against the West Indies.

Skype - the other free apps for mobiles

SKYPE

Skype is known for its video calling capabilities and does it quite seamlessly. All you need is the app on your phone (available across platforms) and a Skype account. This will enable you to make video calls (provide you have a front facing camera on your phone) to other Skype account holders and send free messages anywhere in the world .

The app runs in the background which means you will never miss a message. Don't worry if your friends and family don't have a Skype account as calling them from your Skype account costs significantly less than any international call that your service provider charges. Apart from one-to-one video call, you can host a group video call between several receivers.

Viber - the free app for mobiles

VIBER

Viber is a free app available on both Android and iOS platforms. The app automatically mirrors your phonebook with contacts who have the app installed on their phones. This enables you to message or even call those people for free. If your friend is in any city in the world and has this app installed, you can SMS or call them for no charge at all.

Moreover, the app will notify you if anyone from your contact list installs the app. Viber, however, will use your existing 3G or WiFi connection to make free calls or SMS, so the data costs needs to be factored in while using this.

Cut your mobile expenses, Send free SMSs

Now when there is day-to-day expenses and the increasing expenditure for less income has put an obstacle on the way of our development. Mobile companies give sms pack but that is not enough. So we can say that necessity is the mother of invention. Android has build some free apps to send free sms from your mobile phone. While Windows is working on that.
Gone are the days when buying a mobile phone handset was an easy decision. With intuitive mobile operating systems and apps becoming a driving factor, it is the mobile apps which often sway the buyers' decision. And in the war between Apple, Android, BlackBerry and the latest entrant Microsoft Windows, Apple's iOS wins hands down with the sheer number of apps available.
Android does take the cake for the maximum number of free apps, while Windows Phone, being the latest software, is still in the process of creating a space for itself in the market.

No matter how expensive the phone is, apps that allow free messaging (like BlackBerry's popular messenger service) are always in demand. Here are five such apps that will help all the twiddling thumbs to cut down on their phone bills by sending free SMSes.
